I have a lot of trolling and spinning gear that I've collected over the years, and while much of it never gets used, I still like to have it all along on trips when Kokanee and lake trout are the main targets. This new Plano box is now taking the place of one large and two smaller tackle boxes that I needed to hold my gear previously. In my estimation this box isn't a quality match for the old 4 drawer Plano hard plastic tackle box I purchased about 30 years ago and still use to hold my fly boxes, small lures and flatfish, but it is better than a lot of what is available. It will makes make things much easier, and quicker to find tackle I'm looking for, and it will take up less floor space in my jet-boat than the multiple boxes I was using before.

someone said it's too large and not something to bring along to streams and small rivers, I'd agree and would be ridiculous to do so. Get a 3600 size utility and fill that with 10 lures, more than enough. This massive 4 drawer is an awesome home sorting deal to keep all your lures sorted. I have a drawer for bass, deep divers, spinner/jigs and a whole top box for whatever else. I've filled maybe 30% of the tackle box even though I've spent over $100 on lures and have about 30. Guessing you can fit hundreds of hooks, 50-60 lures, 40-50 trout spinner etc; it's just a massive storage box. One major complaint, the bottom drawer is stiff to pull out and gets caught on the second drawer.

I have the same box and have used it for many years. Hundreds of days in the boat and all that's wrong are the end slots to hold pliers are broken and the flexible catch for the front door has almost broken off. This box has taken a beating and is still in good condition other than those two things. I purchased 2 new boxes because I find this style more functional than other boxes. From experience I don't care for the removable trays. They wind up sliding around the boat and are a pain. The drawers are much easier to access and close up. The plastic on the new boxes seems adequate and the new box is exactly the same as my old one except they have changed the way the door is latched. I recommend this product and hope the plastic is as durable as the original product.

Bought this tackle box as a solution to storing all of my electrical components. Box is decently made, however plastic is contoured in some areas. A real peeve with the box I received is that the top hinged cover only latches and locks properly if its pushed backwards into place. Some drawers are stiff and do not slide properly. This is all to be expected with a plastic box, and is priced acceptably.
